Before we begin, I wanted to invite you to check out a six-month pop-up newsletter on LinkedIn called Behind the Book. If you want to write a book (or have already written one) it might be of interest. You can subscribe free (or pass along the link) here: Behind the Book
Next, here are a few short thoughts this week.
Money
“Trust the process” only works if the process is well-chosen. Too often, the phrase is used when things are going poorly, as a soothing nicety to excuse away poor performance. Hope is an opiate, not a plan. Ask yourself, have you seen even the littlest evidence that the process is working? If not, perhaps the process should not be trusted.

"In every life there is a moment. A crisis. One that says: what I believe is wrong. It happens to everyone, the only difference is how that knowledge changes them. In most cases, it is simply a case of burying that knowledge and pretending it isn’t there. That is how humans grow old. That is ultimately what creases their faces and curves their backs and shrinks their mouths and ambitions. The weight of that denial. The stress of it. This is not unique to humans. The single biggest act of bravery or madness anyone can do is the act of change." - Matt Haig

Underrated fitness advice: It’s never too late. Wherever you are, however fit you are, you can change. You can start slow. Go for a walk. Drink more water. The best time to start was yesterday. The second best time to start is now. Too late is a prison that only exists in your mind. An internal belief, NOT the external reality. You, and only you, has the potential to change your life. Today is the least fit you could ever be. You’re not too late. You’re just on time for a new beginning.

Technique over ego. Lighter weights lifted well gets better results than heavy weights lifted poorly. However, 'Light' doesn't mean easy. Intensity is important.

Maybe we should try not to understand so much, and accept some more.
