“Don't pretend you're not new when you're new. It can actually work to your advantage. Everybody wants to be part of a journey. Use your newness as a marketing benefit.”

- Jonathan Goodman

Be the True You

Honesty is always the best policy, period, full stop. If you share your inexperience—your authentic self—with prospective clients, they'll appreciate the transparency and enjoy getting to know the real you. You and your clients will create a relationship based on learning together.

Never Skip Logistics Day, Bro

Many of the trainers forced to work online when COVID hit discovered they didn’t have the business skills to survive. Just as you dedicate yourself to working movement patterns in the weight room, so should you invest time developing your entrepreneurial muscles. Even if you return to training clients in person, you'll be better prepared to keep your business going in any conditions.

Perfectly Imperfect

You’ve probably heard this a hundred times before, but here it is again: You don’t have to be perfect. Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from pursuing your dreams. Embrace your true self, take the mistakes as they come, and keep moving forward. You may not be as good as you want to be, but you're still better than you think.
