We all know that detoxes and cleanses are scams. We know there’s no such a thing as a fat loss tea. We know that toxins have absolutely nothing to do with a $20 bottle of capsules. Yet saying that to your client isn’t enough.
Your success as a personal trainer isn’t dependent on how much you know, it’s dependent on how much your clients know. In other words, you need to get really good at learning the science, curating it into easily digestible pieces, and passing the knowledge on to your clients. Don’t expect your clients to follow your orders “because you said so”. Do explain to your clients why detoxes and cleanses are scams, and help them take ownership over smart lifestyle choices.
