Jonathan’s Journey
The youngest of four siblings, I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Shout out to my parents: They gave us all a great foundation of love and encouragement.
But school was still a challenge for me. I was shorter and slower than my classmates. I felt lost.
Then, at 15, I discovered the YMCA.
My whole world opened up. The gym was a place where, for the first time, I could pave my own way.
How far I could go was a direct result of how much effort I put in.
I either lifted those weights or I didn’t. Results started and ended with me.
I wasn’t racing anybody else. I was exploring my own limits on a journey with myself.
It was freedom. And I was hooked.
That was 21 years ago.
Since then, I’ve launched multiple businesses, written 11 books, traveled the world, got married, and became a dad.
If I hadn’t discovered this path, I would have become a very different person. And I don’t think that version of me would have been as happy.
I want everyone to have the same freedom. After nearly a decade coaching clients one-on-one as a personal trainer, I’ve expanded my horizons. I want everyone to see there’s a better way.
Wherever you are on your journey, it’s led you here, to reading this. Thank you. And I hope you can use the resources and insight you discover here to help light the rest of the way.
