Emily Beers is a health, fitness, and nutrition writer with a master’s in journalism from the University of Western Ontario. She has coached at MadLab School of Fitness in Vancouver since 2009. A former college basketball player and rower, Emily competed at the 2014 CrossFit Games and has worked with CrossFit Inc.'s media team for eight years.
