"I wish I got paid to work out like you do!"

I always thought this was a silly comment when I worked at a gym as a personal trainer. I wasn't paid to work out. I was paid to train clients all day. Staying fit wasn't my job—it was just an extra responsibility for my job. It was something I did on my own time after I was done with my work.

But it's a tricky thing for us trainers. Little do our clients know how rampant eating disorders and insecurities are in our industry—an industry everyone thinks is full of super-confident jocks.
