In order to be the best possible coach for your clients, you need to have an understanding of which approach to take with different types of client; the ones that hate their plan, the ones who always have an excuse, the ones that won't stick to the meal plan you worked so hard on for them.
Only, it's probably your fault, not theirs. The most optimal, effective exercise and nutrition protocol in the world is only as effective as how easily a client can adhere to it. If they can't stick with it, they won't get results. It's up to us as coaches to learn which strategy we should apply in different circumstances, with different people.
This week's top pick from Precision Nutrition examines 8 'difficult client' scenarios, and gives examples of how you could best deal with each one.
