Neghar Fonooni
Neghar Fonooni is a co-founder of Girls Gone Strong. She is helping to lead a strength revolution that is redefining what it means to train like a girl. Neghar is a military veteran. She served four years in the United States Air Force as an Arabic linguist, and received the Army Achievement Medal for excellence in education, volunteer work, military duties and character. Neghar is a Los Angeles native who has resided in Maryland since 2006. She is a lifelong athlete and fitness enthusiast who has competed in fast pitch softball for 10 years and has been a fitness professional for 12 years. She is a certified personal trainer as well as an RKC Level II and CK-FMS; she only female in Maryland to hold both of those titles. Neghar is an educator of other fitness professionals, teaching workshops on kettlebell training, nutrition, and movement screening and correction. Neghar’s other interests include reading, writing, journalism and literature. She maintains a popular blog, has been published on DragonDoor.com, and is a regular contributor to strengthcoach.com. Neghar uses her voice and her passion to educate and inspire females worldwide to train intelligently: with intensity and purpose.
