Testimonials
Whether you’re an elite athlete or getting into shape, working with a personal trainer is invaluable to your development and progress. As a Canadian Olympian, I valued the personalized workouts tailored to my wants and needs to make me stronger, faster and more agile. It’s not just about being told what to do, but truly understanding how you are strengthening your body. Each move has a purpose and every workout builds off the last. I have never felt more knowledgeable about my body and health than when I was working with a personal trainer. Not only are they a great source of motivation, but an incredible resource to lead a healthier lifestyle.

The PTDC is one of the sites that I wish had been around when I was in the development of my career path in the health and fitness industry. Incredibly passionate writers share what they know about their niche market. They offer their insight and share past experiences, both positive and negative. It’s something I’ve spent large amounts of money and time to figure out. And now the PTDC offers this type of information for free. The PTDC is an amazing resource for coaches, trainers, therapists and rehab professionals.
Becoming a personal trainer isn’t like learning to ride a bike: you’ve got to keep learning and developing throughout your career. If you’re not aware of how research is changing longstanding ideas about topics like stretching and hydration, you’re doing your clients a disservice. I’m impressed with the resources Jonathan Goodman and his team have put together at the PTDC. And I hope more personal trainers take advantage of the opportunity to keep learning and getting better at their job.

Hey Jonathan, I just wanted to let you know your site has been an amazing resource/inspiration. I am in the process of pursuing a career within the fitness industry. I have been overwhelmed with the industry, trying to decide which path to take what to specialize in what certifications to get what education, hands on experience is most important. The site has been great in helping so far. It would be cool to chat sometime on your experience this far it seems like you have a well thought perspective on the industry. Good luck with everything and keep up the solid work! - Scott Dorn (NASM certified trainer)
