There’s always so much talk about dieting in the fitness world, that we rarely think about what happens when that diet ends. Many will argue that it technically shouldn’t.

‘Dieting’ obviously depends on context; for what? For a bodybuilding competition it will be necessary to be strict in order to gain optimal results, whereas general population fat loss tends to be more effective in the long-term when it is more flexible, and moderation is key.

Of course the time after stepping on stage is very relevant, however there are also ‘real life’ scenarios in which this tactic can be employed to great effect.  In this week’s top pick, Mike Vacanti gives a detailed breakdown of reverse dieting, explaining exactly what it is, and who and when it’s applicable.
