101 Mistakes Personal Trainers Make – MASSIVE FREE EBOOK

These past 4 months we’ve been working on something big. Something that we think will help personal trainers worldwide. Let me backtrack for a minute though and I’ll tell you the story of how this book came about:

It started with my overwhelming desire to thank all of our devoted readers. Without you’re burning passion to get better we wouldn’t be here. I’m honored to have the opportunity to provide you with free content weekly on all things personal training. All of the emails, tweets, and Facebook messages I get thanking me and telling me how personal trainers have applied the information is humbling.

So I decided I wanted to give you all a gift the only way I know how. I wanted to compile an amazing e-book for you. I didn’t want this e-book to be your every day “8 ways to burn fat”. It had to be better. And it had to be free.

So I racked my brain for a week trying to figure out what we could do that would really help trainers. Something that solves all of their problems in one simple book. Then suddenly it hit me! I was going to set out on a quest to figure out every single mistake a personal trainer makes and solve them.

I started a Google doc and shared it with the entire PTDC team. In this doc I asked the coaches to write down any mistake they can think of. No holds barred. It ended up being a communal brain dump from 20 of the most brilliant trainers on this planet.

I decided to stop the list at 101. 101 Mistakes! Every aspect of personal training was covered from marketing blunders, to sales screw ups, to improper mindsets, to improper attire (I hate bad socks), to flat out acting like an idiot. I honestly believe that this is the most thorough list of mistakes personal trainers make that’s ever been published.

I then set out to find an actionable solution for every mistake. Something that any trainer can immediately do to fix their problem. I consulted text books, contacted psychologists, wrote to friends in the industry, and emailed PTDC coaches constantly (sorry guys).

It’s taken 4 months, 20 brilliant training minds, and 16 000 words but I’m ecstatic to bring you (for free):

I realize you’re excited. I am too. This book will immediately improve every single trainer who reads it. But I don’t intend for it to be read start to finish. Fact is I’m guessing you’re already a good trainer if you’re reading this. So I’ve created a reference list in a separate download. My intention is that you scan the reference list and put a check beside any mistakes you make. Then read the corresponding number in the book. Do this every two weeks to make sure you don’t develop any bad habits.

Print the reference list and keep it in your gym at all times. If you’re a gym manager/owner include it in your training materials and if you work at a gym bring the list to your manager and encourage them to circulate it. Together we can all make sure that the quality of personal training improves. This is a good place to start.
